My Favorite Hug - In - A - Mug Bedtime Tea

I’ve been a horrible insomniac since I was a teen. Though I like the almost instant effect of sleep aids, I don’t like what they do to my body and mind, nor the frequent “sluggish” feeling I experience, sometimes for days, after taking them. That’s how I found herbal teas.

I love a nice, warm cup of tea to relax and unwind with. I don’t drink one every night but when I know I’m going to experience sleeplessness, this is my go-to cuppa. There are only three ingredients, not including water, and it is just divine!

1 Cup filtered or spring water

12 – 15 rose hips, hole

1 teaspoon honey

Almond Milk, Coconut or Cashew Milk

 

Place the rosebuds in your tea strainer, cover with hot water – not boiling, but hot- cover and let steep for five minutes.

Remove the rosebuds and strainer, stir in the honey and nut milk to taste. Sit quietly, reflect, meditate and enjoy.
